Dr Angie Smaranda holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and a Master of Dentistry from La Trobe University, graduating in 2014. She later returned to La Trobe University as a Preclinical Demonstrator, helping to educate future dentists and also undertook a supervisory role as a Clinical Demonstrator at Link Health and Community.
Dr Angie has garnered recognition for her achievements, including commendations in the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) Primary Examination for her outstanding performance.
Dr Angie has also served as a Locum Dentist with the Royal Flying Doctor Service, providing essential dental care to remote rural communities from a mobile dental truck. Her contributions extend to the realm of dental research, where she has assisted with the critical analysis and editing of new research papers, to aid publication in respected journals.
Currently, Dr Angie serves as a Clinical Advisor in Orthodontics for Straumann Group, where she applies her knowledge to advance orthodontic care practices and aligner treatment.
Beyond dentistry, Dr Angie maintains personal interests in fitness; having competed in powerlifting at the local and national level. She also has a passion for exploring new cultures and experiences.
At Purity Dental, Dr Angie combines her comprehensive experience with a compassionate approach, ensuring each patient receives individualised care.
Her special interests include smile makeovers and implant restorations.
